KSCA Rules and Guidelines of Membership
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR MEMBERS – Coaches,
print this an keep a copy with you through the season!
- EMAIL -- You must have
an email contact for us to send you information. If you do not have
someone with an email address, then you will miss out on important
information. It is your responsibility to alert Bob Griggs if you do not
receive emails (coachgriggs123@yahoo.com)
- Code of Ethics -- You
must read and abide by the Code of Ethics (www.kyhighschoolsoftball.com/codeofethics.htm)
- All State Nominations
-- Send All State Nominations to coachgriggs123@yahoo.com
by May 1. You will be sent an email with directions on how to do this
around the first of May. Each team
is allowed to nominate up to 4 players from their own team. Include
player’s first and last name, school, position(s), grade level, and school
classification (1A, 2A, or 3A). A nomination list will be compiled and
emailed to all of the members for their convenience to help in voting for
all state. The list will be sent around the middle of May. You can
nominate players from any class.
- Academic All State -- Email
Academic All State Applications to the 2nd Vice President (to
be elected at the annual meeting) by May 1. Click on the academic all state link on the website for
guidelines. Grades would be
counted through fall semester.
- All State Ballots -- You
will receive the official ballot by email for All State in the 2nd
or 3rd week of May.
- All Stars – Send your
nominations to Jim McAlister at kpsoftball@yahoo.com
by May 1. Include the player’s name, school, player’s phone number,
player’s address, coaches name, coaches phone number(s).
- Top 25 – Each school
may vote for the top 25. Send your top 25 to Jim McAlister at kpsoftball@yahoo.com each week by
the deadline noon on Tuesdays.
- All State by Class –
All State is selected by class as determined by the track and field
alignment.
- KHSAA Scoreboard –
Have someone or yourself post your schedule on the KHSAA scoreboard,
update any changes, and regularly report scores. Your Athletic Director
should have all this information. This is a great tool that needs to be
utilized much better. You can enter your schedule online if you get access
from your school’s AD. You can report your scores by telephone or online.
It’s relatively simple.
- Scores to Newspapers – Report
your scores to local newspapers. Your girls deserve the recognition.
