Coaches, send news to coachgriggs123@yahoo.com May 4 - Coach Penny Reece, head coach of the Greenwood Lady Gators, picked up her 400th career victory on Tuesday, April 29 with a 2-0 win over Beech, Tn. Murray State University is adding softball, beginning season is set to be 2009-2010. April 20 Owensboro Catholic Lady Aces head coach George Randolph earned his 400th coaching victory April 16th. The 400th win came in his 13th season with the Lady Aces defeating Owensboro High School 16-1. New state pitching record Kirsten Allen of Ryle HS set this past week. She now has 89 Career Shutouts to pass Becky Abner's career mark of 86. April 6 Weekly Rankings---One coach from each member school may send his/her top 20 picks (best to 20th) by 5:00 pm each Monday to kpsoftball@yahoo.com April 1 -- The 2008 Kentucky Prep Yearbook is now available by emailing Jim McAlister at kpsoftball@yahoo.com. The magazine are $3 which includes shipping. The magazine feature the Section Top 10, the Region's top 10 and much more. February 21 I just realized this is our 10th year with the webpage. Its hard for me to believe its been that long! February 10 March 15 is the deadline for joining. Click here for information. KSCA Annual Clinic/Meeting is January 26, 2008 in Danville at Centre College click here for the itinerary! More information will be available soon. For a list of rules clinics click here. January 1, 2008 Happy New Year! All head coaches are required to attend a rules clinic each year. Assistants may attend, but are not required. The KSCA Annual Clinic/Meeting offers speakers, KHSAA rules clinic, and coaches meeting. All coaches are encouraged to join the KSCA and attend the meeting. It will be held on January 26 at Centre College. There will be speakers in the morning, rules clinic at 1:30 pm; followed by the annual coaches meeting. Central Hardin is looking for more freshman games. Contact Mark.Martin@Hardin.kyschools.us Mike Fields with the Lexington Herald Leader writes a weekly high school sports column (published each Friday edition). He could use more softball information around the state. Send your information to him by sometime each Wednesday afternoon to mfields1@herald-leader.com Click here for a form to print and fax your linescore for your game to your local newspaper.
