Ky Prep Softball East/West All Star Weekend

East -West All Stars -- More games! -- Expanded from 4 to 6 games. There are 4 teams (2 juniors and 2 seniors). Each team will play the other one. That's 4 (7 inning) games on Saturday and 2 (9 inning) games on Sunday. This will be held on June 17-18. Senior girls that participate in all East/West practices, games, and the banquet this weekend will be eligible to be picked for the Kentucky/Tennessee Games.

2006 Itinerary for East/West All Stars

All times for East/West Weekend are EST

Friday, June 16, 2006

All players must check-in with All Star Directors between 2:00 and 4:30 pm at the Crowne Plaza Campbell House Inn.

Practices will be as follows:

East Seniors will practice from 5:00 to 6:30 pm at UK Softball (directions). All East Senior players and coaches will meet in the Campbell House lobby at 4:40 pm to leave for practice at UK. Players may then drive to practice (approx. a mile). Those players that need a ride may ride with other players or coaches.

West Seniors will practice from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at UK Softball (directions). All West Senior players and coaches will meet in the Campbell House lobby at 6:10 pm to leave for practice at UK. Players may then drive to practice (approx. a mile). Those players that need a ride may ride with other players or coaches.

East Juniors will practice from 5:00 to 6:30 pm at Lexington Catholic High School (directions). All East Junior players and coaches will meet in the Campbell House lobby at 4:40 pm to leave for practice at Lexington Catholic. Players may then drive to practice (approx. a mile). Those players that need a ride may ride with other players or coaches.

West Juniors will practice from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at Lexington Catholic High School (directions). All West Junior players and coaches will meet in the Campbell House lobby at 6:10 pm to leave for practice at Lexington Catholic. Players may then drive to practice (approx. a mile). Those players that need a ride may ride with other players or coaches.

Pizza Party for all players and coaches at 8:30 pm at the Campbell House Inn Pool. All players and coaches are expected to attend. This is for players and coaches only.

Saturday, June 17, 2006 – All Games at University of Kentucky

Pictures will be taken for each team prior to their first game. All players must be dressed at the University of Kentucky field one hour before your first game. Players will wear their all star uniforms on Saturday.
Game 1 – 9:00 am East Seniors vs. East Juniors (7 innings)
Game 2 – 11:00 am West Seniors vs. West Juniors (7 innings)
Immediately following Game 2: Kentucky Softball Coaches Association Miss Softball, Class Player of the Year, All State, and Coaching Staff of the Year Awards will be distributed to all those receipients that are in attendance. You must check-in at the press box to have your name announced and receive your award.

Game 3 – 1:00 pm East Juniors vs. West Seniors (7 innings)
Game 4 – 3:00 pm East Seniors vs. West Juniors (7 innings)
Banquet will be held at 8:00 pm at the E. S. Good Barn on the University of Kentucky campus right next to Commonwealth Stadium (directions).

The All Stars will be in attendance, and the Kentucky Prep Softball Hall of Fame Inductees will be inducted. Inductees include:
