Doubles: Lindsay Mayberry (East All Stars, Dixie Heights H.S.), Nikki Nichols (West All Stars, Henderson Co. H.S.)
Senior highlights: The East Team Started the scoring in the 3rd inning by a leadoff single by Jaclyn Armitstead (Lexington Catholic), then the next two hitters loaded the bases. Jessica Johnson (Madison Central) was hit by a pitch to score Armitstead from third. Shortly after, Lyndsey Mayberry (Dixie Heights) hit a bases loaded double to score 3 runs. The West Team got one run in the fourth after Nikki Nichols (Henderson Co.) lead off with a single, then worked her way around the bases to score one run for the West. The next inning Nichols found herself batting with bases loaded, two outs, and a 3-2 count. The runners were moving on the pitch when Nichols hit one to the left field wall, scoring 3 runs. This tied the score at 4 apiece. In the top of the 9th, Megan Wethington (Reidland) knocked in two runs for the West with a single to over the left fielder's head. The East could not score in the bottom of the 9th. The West won 6-4.

Junior highlights: The West Team scored first when Katie Livesay (Ballard) hit a 2 RBI double. In the 4th Rachel Gott (Presentation) lead off with a hit and scored after a sacrifice bunt and a couple of wild pitches. The East tried to battle back in the 5th when Miranda Carroll's (Middlesboro) double was followed by Caitlin O'Brien's (Lexington Catholic) double to score one run for the East. West answered in the bottom of the 5th when Jamie Cox (Central Hardin) knocked in Lauren Wathen (Meade Co.) to make the score 4-1. The final 4 innings were scoreless.

Triples: Jamie Cox (West, Central Hardin H.S.), Sara King (West, Male H.S.)
Junior Highlights: Whitney Valentine (Elizabethtown) pitched 4 innings for the West and stuck out 12 of the 13 batters she faced. The one batter she didn't strike out was walked. Sara King of Male scored the first run for the West when she hit a triple in the second inning, then scored on throwing error. The East tied the game in the top of the 6th on a bases loaded single by Amy Wilson (Middlesboro). The West got the win in the bottom of the 11th inning when Jamie Cox (Central Hardin) scored on a wild pitch after she had hit a triple.

Doubles: Kathy Church (West, Greenwood)
Senior highlights: West scored in the 1st inning when Kathy Church (Greenwood) hit a double, then scored on a Nikki Nichols (Henderson Co.) single. In the second inning India Chiles (Ballard) knocked in two runs for the West with a bases loaded single. The East Team tied the score in the 6th when bases were loaded and Jaclyn Armitstead (Lexington Catholic, Amanda Stull (Montgomery Co.), and Lyndsey Mayberry (Dixie Heights) had RBI singles. In the bottom of the 9th, the West Team got the win when Leslie Gent led off with a single then scored on a throwing error during the following play.

Kentucky Prep Softball East / West All Star Weekend 2002
Games were played on June 15 & 16, 2002 at the University of Kentucky
This year the Seniors split with the West winning the first game and the East winning the second game. The Senior Series Record is now 8-3 in favor of the West.
In the first year for the Junior Games, the juniors split (East won the first game), so the record stands at 1-1.
This year's games included:
2 Senior East/West Games, June 15 at 11:00 am and June 16 at 3:00 pm
2 Junior East/West Games, June 15 at 2:00 pm and June 16 at 1:00 pm
